I am a people-pleaser.
I care about what people think of me.
And to an extent, everyone should.
I think part of being a christian involves setting a good example and through our actions, showing Christ to others.
But there is also a fine-line that can be crossed into a world of worrying. A world of changing who you are to fit the mold that every other person wants you to be. And when you feel like you don't measure up, or you aren't liked for some reason, no matter what you do, you are left with a choice.
You can obsess over it and travel even farther down the road to someone that isn't you. You can constantly compare yourself and wonder why you don't seem to measure up with someone.
-or-
You can realize that God, the creator of ALL things, made you in His image and that being you is the best thing you can do to serve Him. He is the only one to please.
"But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God." John 12:42-43
