A haunted housewarming

Our wonderful friends hosted a haunted housewarming for us on Halloween!  Paige and Nicki are SUPER creative and artsy - something I am certainly not.  They turned our house into the perfect, creepy hang out.

There was great food - chili, BLT and cheese dip, and lots of yummy sweets!  Paige came up with a hilarious housewarming Madlib.  Here is one that someone filled out:
          "After living in so many happy apartments, Lauren and Devin found the house of their dreams!!!  This spooky home made them so terrifying that they knew it was the one!  When Lauren first saw the house, she whispered, "Awwww!"  When Devin stepped foot inside, he shouted, "Cool!"  Both were convinced that Kevin would be impressed by the swimmingly layout.  Lauren couldn't wait to start jumping the walls and Devin was so ready to weave in the backyard.  Once they were finally moved in, they both sat back and said, "Delicious."
            We played a game (adapted from a bachelorette game) were each person wrote a "scary" question.  All the questions were put into a bowl and everyone drew a question to answer on another sheet.  Then the questions were put back into the bowl, and the answers in a separate bowl.  Each person drew a random question and answer so we could go around the room and read aloud what we drew.  This probably sounds really complicated, but it's easy once you get the hang of it, and SO worth it.  We could not stop laughing!

Overall, it was such a blessed evening!  Spending a few hours with friends in our very own home is something we have prayed for and wanted for so long, and God has blessed us immensely to get here.  Big thanks to Paige and Nicki, the brilliant party planners!
