Sugarloaf

Climbing Sugarloaf "Mountain" is one of those things that most Freshmen at Harding achieve within the first few weeks of school.  Out of the six people in our group, only one of us (Melissa) had ever climbed before, and since Saturday was SO unbelievably beautiful, we decided to make the most of it and go climb our little hearts out.

This was at the top of the east part...following this picture, we faced the rocks.  It was kind of terrifying.

Devin and Justin... Caleb came up the mountain his own way.

My sweet fiance - I sure do love him!

We are conquerers

We did it!

After climbing the mountain, none of us wanted to go back inside.  Devin's bosses, Greg and Rhonda, are the most generous people and they let us come over to their house and ride their 4-wheelers again.  It was Meag's first time to drive one...

The girls 4-wheeler...I wish someone would have reminded me to put my sunglasses back on

Caleb braving the creek!  He made it...and ended up with an allergic reaction to something in that creek water.  By the time we got back to the house, his face was swollen and he was itchy all over!  Poor thing.  We eventually made a trip to Walgreens and got him some much needed Benadryl.  He was much happier after that.
Meag's battle scar.  When we were in a thicket, Meag was driving the 4-wheeler alone and came up to a big dip with a small creek running through it.  She was scared, but Devin told her to go for it.  Meag translated this as gassing the 4-wheeler without really paying attention to where she was steering and ended up getting smacked in the face with a tree branch.  I won't lie, it sounded funny, but no worries, we checked on her and she was fine.  Just a little shocked.

Saturday was a great day out in the warm sun and I'm so glad that we lived it up!
